You do not need else after return:

if (consume(",")) {
  Expr E2 = readExpr();
  expect(")");
  return [=](uint64_t Dot) { return alignTo(E(Dot), E2(Dot)); };
}

expect(")");
return [=](uint64_t Dot) { return alignTo(Dot, E(Dot)); };
